03 / Terminal & commands
Start with help. Stay in control.
The terminal is an alternative interface inside Gateway. You can switch between Terminal and Domain search from the homepage.
Open your workspace
Open Gateway, select Terminal and type help. Alt/Option + K focuses the active search or command field. Your mode is remembered within the same browser tab and session.
- Type a command and press Enter to run it.
- Use Domain search when you prefer the form.
- The commands here belong in Gateway’s browser terminal, not PowerShell or a server shell.
A small command reference
Replace <domain> with the domain you intend to check. Square brackets mark an optional argument; choose one palette name rather than typing the separators. These commands are available in the existing terminal.
help- Show the terminal’s available commands.
search <domain>- Check domain availability and the next steps returned by the search.
dns <domain>- Run a DNS record lookup.
ssl <domain>- Check the domain’s certificate and TLS.
whois <domain>- Look up available WHOIS information.
email <domain>- Run the email security check.
clear- Clear the visible terminal history.
theme [green|amber|cyan|mono]- Choose a palette. With no argument, cycle to the next palette.
Understand the result before continuing
Searches and checks return real service responses. Read any reported errors, restrictions and available next steps. Lookups can consume the usage allowance shown by the tools; a command is not a promise that a product can be ordered.
- clear removes the visible history; it does not change a domain or service.
- theme changes the terminal palette and saves that browser preference.
- No separate CLI installation or public API access is needed to use this browser interface.
